Sixteen days until travel! We're getting really excited and quite busy again. We were lucky to have a few quiet weekends at home - now it's full steam ahead planning - packing, paperwork, last minute house details, work, getting ready for school... Tomorrow we'll meet with the boys pediatrician to prepare for the trip and make arrangements for returning tests, immunizations (if necessary), checkups, etc. It's a lot to consider- three little ones with few health records - we'll be traveling with a mini-pharmacy, no doubt.
The entire trip should take around 9 days, including several days just to get there and back. On the way there we'll fly Portland to Newark to Mumbai (direct!). We'll spend a night in Mumbai, then travel by car to Pune the next day. We may pick up the boys that very day, or the next. We'll appear with boys in a local court, spend another day in Pune, then fly with the boys to New Delhi. We have several appointments (with the boys) while in Delhi, most at the U.S. Embassy. The flights home should take just over 20 hours (best case scenario) - should be interesting entertaining ourselves for such a long flight!
