As I stood, dumbfounded, in the diaper aisle, it occurred to me - this is really happening! Just an hour before I had been sitting in the travel agent's office wondering how much of a christening our new American Express card would receive. Many thanks to Mom and the AAA travel agent - both spent hours working the computers checking for good connections, few stops and short (ha, ha) flights. Fly away date - August 19th - details to follow...
Getting back to the diapers, it's amazing - the number of choices, sizes, designs, brands. Eric and I had, after much debate, bought one package over the weekend as we are working our way through the "what to pack" list now. I must admit, it's a bit surreal- collecting, organizing, and packing bags for three little guys I haven't held in my arms yet. Anyway... I kept thinking - what if the one diaper style we chose doesn't fit our little guy? So now we have two different types, packed neatly in zip-lock bags that will be stashed in each of our bags - just in case. What size shoes? We still don't know - so for now no shoes packed. Well I'm off to bed, more soon - thanks for following us on this exciting journey !

How wonderful you have a travel date! We are sending our best wishes on your exciting trip........Janice Ellis
They sell diapers in India in case you run out. Also baby formula, bottles, etc. You should be able to pick up some sandals for all of the boys in Pune. Bring socks for the plane. Make sure to take some photos outside of the orphanage. If you can spend some extra days in India it will be well worth it. The kids will treasure the memories with you there more than you can ever imagine.
I don't splurge on much, but diapers - I will only use Pampers Swaddlers / cruisers. IT's well worth the difference in price.
I also agree with anonymous - spend some extra time over there. I wish we had.
