Days 13 and 12 (before travel)

The past couple of days have whizzed by with little or no action taken to prepare, pack, or otherwise think about the adoption - except of course for the constant thinking about meeting the boys really, really soon! After spending some time and a meal with my mom (and dad) at her Bayside cottage last night, we brought our niece and nephew home to spend the night while their mom and dad celebrated their anniversary. They were the first kids to spend the night in the "new bedroom" (they've slept there pre-remodel) and interestingly, after arguing over who would get the top bunk, both kids chose another option after actually climbing up there! It is tall! The lower bunk is about 4 feet off the floor and I bet the top bunk is at least 7 feet off the floor! We are planning on removing the tall ladder completely when the boys arrive and not allowing them to sleep in the lower bunk for a while either.

Today Big Daddy went to Lenscrafters and had an eye appointment and got much needed new lenses for his glasses (that he hasn't been wearing!). My appointment is tomorrow and I hope to get all new glasses; it's been over 5 years and I'm sick of looking at myself in the ones I have, not to mention they are covered in paint and primer! While Eric was in with the doc I snuck over to Macy's and bought the cutest little outfits for the boys for a wedding we'll attend (hopefully, if they're ready) in September. Khakis pants, oxford shirts and adorable little vests (all different colors and patterns); I was quite proud of the bargain too, they had been marked down several times from $48 to $7.99 each! We've been very lucky and have received heaps of clothes, new and used, from family and friends so I really haven't spent much so far. I know I will have to be very frugal keeping 3 boys clothed and fed, so we are truly thankful for everything we receive. Well, that's all for now, off to bed. Sweet dreams!
