Well, we've been home with the boys exactly one week; and they have been with us (including in India) exactly two weeks today! I'll try to do a quick update - I guess I thought I'd actually have time to blog more during this period, but having two four year olds and a 2 year old in a body cast definitely cuts into the computer time. First of all, the kids are doing great! There have been challenges, no doubt, but we (with the help of family and friends) have made it through and we are still seeing major positive changes every day- language & communication, physical coordination, food issues, behavior, and bonding. Some we're still working on - one of the boys is wetting the bed sometimes, both of the older boys are "testing the limits" in very creative ways, and Owen Ankush has voiced his displeasure with the cast in numerous methods (also, we're trying to separate that from the part where he is a 2 year old and doesn't understand the language). We are sleeping more, although still not enough.
So, the week of firsts - some are documented in these photos, others we didn't catch on film but were wonderful just the same:
-First time landing on American soil & meeting the grandparents at the airport
-Sam and Charlie hang out at Grammy & GeeGee's while little bro is at the hospital
-first time in a car seat driving home (they all love the car and their carseats!)
-first cute "twin" moment captured in Grammy's van (check out the double-buckled kid)
-first shower (I know they'll kill me later when they see this one; poor Owen, we haven't given him a real bath yet- cast can't get wet)
-first time meeting some of the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, great-grandmother (Nanny), neighbors
-first day of preschool (yes, that's right, into the fire!) - we hung around, left with the last group of parents, anxiously awaiting the call from the teacher that we had to come and get one or both of them, they missed us, etc. but we had none of it! They loved it, the teachers said they did awesome, and they're going back tomorrow!
-first time playing legos with Aunt Kim
-first time playing on the chalk board (and eating chalk, also crayons)
-first time eating out - at MacDonald's
-other food firsts: homemade blueberry pie, American chop suey, beef stew, take-out Thai food, mashed potatoes, veggie & chicken casserole, Fig Newtons

It really makes our day to open up the "PUTER" and see What the Jaggers are up to. This is really something

What a great snapshot of what your first week home has brought you! Sounds like they are settling in nicely. Can't wait to hear that Owen is out of that cast.

Eating at McDonalds, eating chalk and crayons........ pretty normal, I'd say! So good to see the new pictures and see how the kids are progressing. They look very happy!
Hey guys careful with the shower pics, as innocent as they seem, it is illegal to post pictures of any nude minors, even if they are your own, and you can also lose your blog if it gets reported to blogspot.com moderators. Just some advice. I found another family bloging about an India adoption @mary&rob
Just wanted to say that Shawn and I are very excitedly following your family's adventures :). We are so grateful that you are all well... The boys are beautiful!
