Fall Fun!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post! We have been busy enjoying autumn in New England and experiencing more firsts such as: first hair cut given by Mommy (who bought a $20 hair clipper), first picnic, first time wearing overalls (older boys, this is also the haircut photo), first time apple picking, first Common Ground Fair, and first dentist appointments (older boys). Things are going very well and everyone is settling into a routine. Daddy is back to work, mostly, and Sam & Charlie's preschool moved to four mornings a week as of this week. The teachers say they are doing very well - sharing with others, sitting still for activities (more), helping, playing indepedently on the playground, and going to the bathroom themselves (most times). If I could count how many poopy butts I've wiped these past six weeks - well - no one really wants to hear about that. Owen is doing amazing - crawling faster and stronger every day. He is pulling himself up onto his little chair now and trying to pull up on other things. He has a physical therapy evaluation next week - we are still waiting for our "third" opinion on his bones - in the meantime he's out-eating both of his brothers and becoming Mr. Personality. All of the boys are hysterically funny (sometimes for good, sometimes evil), but it turns out Owen is as much of a player as his older siblings! Okay, one more poop story. Just imagine, you take three orphans apple picking, show them how to pick apples, encourage them to eat the apples, and let them wander! This was a preschool field trip last Friday and I think the photos speak volumes - just remember - what goes in must come out!

P.S. I'm on the wrong computer - will add the picnic photos next time.

What cuties you have. Glad to hear that they are adjusting well. Hope to meet at an NEIchild event sometime! I think our little guys are about the same age.

Now, who is Charlie and who is Sam? They are identical...
And seeing Owen smile is such a gift. You're doing great!!!
