NOC came through!

Okay, so it's been a while since I set up the blog and basically I haven't given the link to anyone yet, so time to end the silence! I think subconsciously I was worried if we went public we might jinx the adoption process, but last week we received our NOC so things are looking good!

For those of you new to our "adoption process" the timeline has gone something like this:
  • September 2006 - chose agency (MAPS), attended adoption education class and officially "applied" for an international adoption
  • May 2007 - Homestudy completed
  • June 2007 - heard about a possible "sibling group" of three young boys available, we are told to expect referral paperwork within a month or two (we begin to fall in love)
  • December 2007 - the referral paperwork actually comes in, we are thrilled!
  • April 2008 - after over 3 months of waiting, the NOC comes through!
So now we wait, again, this time for court appointments (a lawyer appears on our behalf), guardianship papers and for an invitation to go to India to pick up our boys!
